Pastor Dominic Cardamone
Easter is upon us, and I would like to encourage you to do two things:
Remember His Death
In my sin, I was lost and estranged from God. Sin left me broken and scarred. I was condemned to an eternity in Hell. But God in His great love sent His Son, Jesus, to find me, to redeem me, and to heal me. My restoration could only be accomplished by His sacrifice on the cross. He died a cruel and agonizing death so that I might live. I have put my faith Him and what He did for me on the cross. My life has been forever changed. Hallelujah! I pray that is your testimony too. If it’s not, it can be. If it is, spend some time this weekend remembering Jesus’ death for you. Praise Him. Thank Him. (Isaiah 53:1-12; Luke 19:10; Romans 3:9-18,23; Romans 5:8; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Galatians 4:4-5; Colossians 2:13-15)
Rejoice in His Victory
Jesus has defeated sin, death, and the grave! The resurrection is proof of it. He imparts this victory to all who will put their faith in Him. Because He lives, I am assured of the love and forgiveness of God. Because He lives, I am assured that my future is secure and bright. I can face tomorrow with confidence and know that heaven is my eternal home. I’m no longer a slave to sin, but a grateful son of God. Jesus is my brother, and I am a joint heir with Him. May we glorify and exalt the Lord this weekend for this sweet victory. (John 10:10; Acts 2:22-24; Romans 5:20-21; Romans 6:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57)
