14th Annual Missions Conference
This is an article written by Mrs. Gail Eshelman, our Missions Conference Coordinator, about the highlights of this past year's Missions Conference.

We look forward to watching the Lord work in marvelous ways during our annual mission conferences every November. We are consistently awestruck at how He makes His presence known continually during the entire conference, and last year was no exception!

During our 14th annual Missions Conference in November 2009, we were honored to host seven missionary families along with our conference speaker, Dr. Don Sisk, and his wife, Virginia. As usual, if they happened to come as strangers to some, they left as friends. Only God can create the bond that He does between His children.

The families who joined us were Chad and Wendy Carr, missionaries to France; Todd and Jodi Holland, missionaries to the Arctic; Nick and Katie Maulucci, missionaries to Bulgaria; Brian and Lynette Nibbe, missionaries to Romania; Stetson Planck (and his wife Sandy who was unable to attend the conference due to a sick child), missionaries to Italy; Bob and Kelly Radank (missionaries to Germany); and David and Andrea White (missionaries to Chile). We missed the opportunity to host Joel and Brooke Daku (missionaries to Kiribati), as they were welcoming a new addition to their family: their first child, Adelynn, was born the day before the conference started!

The 2009 theme, Dedicated, was played out to perfection when we had our new building’s dedication service the Tuesday night of the conference. God gave our church family and Academy students a variety of ways to meet and get to know all of our special guests. The missionaries taught Sunday School classes, presented their ministries during one of the services, preached in chapel services at Harvest Baptist Academy, visited elementary classes, and participated in our special music ministry. Along with afternoon tea and shopping for the ladies, golfing for the men, soulwinning, and special meals throughout the week, it was a Missions Conference that we will never forget!

The time of fellowship
after the services
was so sweet throughout
the conference. The
Missions Conference is
truly the highlight of
Harvest's calendar year!
